Maroc Horizons corrects material factual errors and aims to make meaningful changes transparent to readers.
How to request a correction
Email corrections@maroc.us with the article URL, the passage you believe is wrong, the correction you propose and any supporting evidence or primary source.
What we review
We review factual claims, names, dates, quotations, statistics, locations, attribution, captions, links and other verifiable information. Disagreement with an opinion or editorial conclusion is not by itself a factual correction, although new evidence may justify an update.
Material corrections
If an error changes the reader’s understanding of the story, affects a person or organisation materially, or alters an important practical recommendation, the article should be corrected promptly and a correction or update note may be added explaining what changed.
Minor corrections
Spelling, punctuation, formatting or other changes that do not alter meaning may be corrected without a formal note. We do not use a correction label for routine copy-editing.
Updates
Articles may be updated when regulations, transport, prices, opening conditions, safety advice or other time-sensitive information changes. A substantial update should be reflected in the article’s modified date and, where useful, a note explaining the new information.
What we do not do
We do not remove accurate reporting merely because it has become inconvenient to a subject. Requests involving privacy, legal risk, safety or genuinely obsolete personal information are assessed individually.
Response and evidence
The time required to assess a request depends on the complexity of the claim and the evidence available. We may contact the requester, the author or another relevant source before deciding whether a change is warranted.
Accountability
Corrections are overseen by the editorial desk. General editorial questions can be sent to editor@maroc.us.
