Maroc Horizons is an independent English-language editorial publication dedicated to Morocco: its destinations, food, culture, people, architecture and the practical realities of travelling through the country.
The publication is managed by Euro News Agency. Its editorial direction is led by Mohamed Bourbiza, an international journalist reporting since 1994 and the founder and director of Euro News Agency in London. His reporting and travel work has taken him across more than 107 countries.
What Maroc Horizons publishes
Maroc Horizons focuses on useful, reported travel journalism rather than generic destination lists. Our coverage includes city and regional guides, itineraries, food and drink, accommodation, cultural context, practical travel planning and selected stories about how Morocco is changing.
Our core destinations include Marrakech, Fès, Essaouira, Tangier, Chefchaouen, Agadir, the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara routes around Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. We also publish guides that connect those places through transport, seasonality, food, architecture and travel style.
How we work
We prefer first-hand reporting, official primary sources and clearly identified specialist sources. Practical information that can change — such as entry rules, safety advice, transport, opening conditions or regulations — is checked against current official information before publication or major updates.
We distinguish reported information from opinion and personal experience. When an article is substantially updated, the publication date and update information should reflect the current version rather than presenting old material as new reporting.
Editorial independence
Commercial relationships do not determine our editorial conclusions. Sponsored or paid material must be identifiable as such, and advertising does not purchase favourable coverage. Our editorial, fact-checking and corrections standards are published openly.
