Jailed former UFC champion Cain Velasquez ‘pleads not guilty to attempted murder of man accused of sexually assaulting his four-year-old relative at California day care center’

• Cain Velasquez, 40, was arrested in February and is charged with attempted murder and other gun-related charges
• The former UFC heavyweight chased a pickup carrying Aguirre ‘Harry’ Goularte, who is accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old family member
• Valesquez fired into the vehicle and wounded Goularte’s stepfather Paul Bender
• He has now reportedly pleaded not guilty to the charges and a pre-trial hearing is scheduled for September 26
