Mother accuses Chuck E. Cheese employee of ‘racism’ after mascot is seen spurning child’s high-five

The mascot for a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in New Jersey has become the latest mascot to be accused of racism.

The incident on July 30 saw a woman who goes by the name Umm Safa take her children to the location in the North Jersey town of Wayne.

She posted a video of the encounter to Twitter and wrote: ‘My 2-year-old was racially discriminated against.

‘As you can see, he gives all of the [white] kids [high fives] and PURPOSELY ignored my black baby.’

Umm Safa – real name Natyana Muhammad – claims when she confronted the person playing the musical mouse, he ignored her and the restaurant’s manager, who she named as Angie Valasquez, ‘made excuses for him’.

It comes after a similar incident where two other black girls from New York were apparently snubbed by Rosita at the Sesame Street…
