Three teenagers and a man have been charged after allegedly stabbing a father to death and setting his house ablaze as they fled the scene.
Jaime Barlow, 48, was allegedly ambushed at his home in Laidley in south-east Queensland on Monday night in what police suspect was a targeted attack.
Emergency crews were called about 9.50pm and found Mr Barlow with more than six stab wounds.
He died 15 minutes later in his partner’s arms, despite the efforts of paramedics.
Witnesses told police they saw four young people fleeing the scene with detectives pouncing on two 19-year-old women from Laidley, a 19-year-old Caboolture man and a 24-year-old College View man on Tuesday night.
They have each been charged with one count of murder, attempted murder and arson.
