• A 25-year-old man was shot in the neck of 1 QPS – a luxury apartment building in Long Island City, where a one-bedroom apartment costs $4,800 
• It’s unclear if he was working in the building or if he lived there
• The gunman opened fire in the lobby of the building at 12.15am then fled 
• Crime in New York City is soaring across the board with shootings and subway crimes among the worst 
• Mayor Eric Adams ran on a platform of cracking down on crime but is yet to make a dent
