AFLW star and cult figure Sarah Perkins has opened up on ‘the toughest time’ of her life, which included the death of her beloved father Ken and being mercilessly trolled and body-shamed on social media.
Perkins, who won a premiership with the Crows before spending time at the Demons and Suns, has recently joined Hawthorn ahead of their inaugural season in the competition; something she described as a ‘fairytale’ given the passion her and her father shared for the club.
Ken sadly passed away after a battle with lymphoma in December 2020, and in the midst of that grief, she was trolled by keyboard warriors.
