NSW police issue warning over simple road rule that could see drivers fined $194 for an offence

NSW Police have reminded drivers to indicate before they brake when turning.

The Traffic and Highway Patrol Command posted the warning about the simple road rule on social media.

If drivers do not indicate for a sufficient amount of time, they can be slapped with a $194 fine and two demerit points for the improper use of indicators. 

NSW police stated drivers should be indicating before coming to a complete stop.  

‘If you are going to turn and you brake before you activate your indicator, you aren’t giving sufficient notice,’ the post read.
