Tasmanian mother’s warning about rare condition that killed her young boy who suffered a stroke

A devastated mother has pleaded for more widespread awareness of a deadly heart condition that was originally diagnosed as asthma after it claimed the life of her five-year-old son.

Taylor Roberts’ son Finley passed away suddenly after suffering a stroke caused by a rare, undiagnosed heart condition last April in Tasmania.

Ms Roberts told Daily Mail Australia the condition – hypotrophic cardiomyopathy – had shaken the close-knit family to the core.
