Olympic freestyle skier and model Eileen Gu put an edgy spin on ‘gilded glamour’ at Monday night’s Met Gala, opting to wear a leather mini-dress to the white tie affair.
The American-born athlete, who controversially competes for China, posed for photos outside of The Mark Hotel prior to attending the star-studded benefit, which is held annually at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on the first Monday in May.
Gu, 18, made a bold statement in head-to-toe leather, an interesting take on the Gilded Age-inspired dress code. Her structured strapless dress featured a heart-shaped bodice and an asymmetrical hemline.
