Philosopher boyfriend of Justin Hemmes’ nanny faces court charged with assaulting glamorous blonde 

The boyfriend of billionaire hotelier Justin Hemmes’ nanny has faced a Sydney magistrate charged with assaulting the petite blonde at his city apartment. 

Timothy Shaw appeared in Downing Centre Local Court for the first time on Wednesday, three days after he was arrested at Kings Cross. 

The 35-year-old academic, who has a doctorate in philosophy and boasts of other ‘distinguished academic credentials’, is accused of attacking Alana Sutherland, 31, on Sunday morning. 

Shaw is the subject of an interim apprehended violence order taken out by police to protect Ms Sutherland and did not enter a plea to one count of domestic violence-related common assault.
