This is the moment Metropolitan police officers smashed their way into the London home of a 61-year-old woman whose skeletal remains were found inside.
The skeletal remains of Sheila Seleoane were found on the living room sofa of her one-bedroom flat in Peckham, south London, last Friday.
Neighbours first complained of the ‘horrific stench’ to housing association Peabody in October 2019, with protestations continuing for more than two years before police finally forced entry last week.
Local residents estimate they complained more than 50 times over the smell of ‘rotting meat’, flies and maggots before action was taken.
It comes as Harriet Harman today launched a scathing attack on the housing association and demanded a full investigation.
