NUCLEAR BUNKER that was once a Cold War-era missile launch facility for sale in Kansas for $380,000

An underground nuclear bunker that was the site of a missile launch facility during the Cold War is up for sale in Kansas for $380,000 — a relative bargain considering that the structure cost millions to build.

The property, located in Abilene, Kansas, is the site of a decommissioned Atlas-F intercontinental ballistic missile silo complex from the 60s, which has since fallen into some serious disrepair.

Built in 1961 on 11 acres of land, it includes a Quonset hut with water and electricity, a one-building room for storage, and — most incredibly — an underground complex designed to withstand a nuclear strike.

The underground complex spreads over two inhabitable levels, which were once used as a a launch control center and living quarts for crew during the Cold War.
