Killer Graham Potter evaded police for 12 years before Australia’s most wanted man was arrested

An infamous killer who decapitated a teenage girl left a series of bizarre handwritten notes at an abandoned campsite detailing his methods for evading police capture just months into his 12-year-long hide out. 

Australia’s most wanted fugitive Graham Potter, 64, spent more than a decade on the run after allegedly skipping an appearance at Melbourne Magistrates court in February 2010 for two charges of conspiracy to murder.   

He was also wanted on federal drug charges for a record 4.4-tonne ecstasy haul, which involved 15 million tablets allegedly being smuggled in tinned tomatoes in 2008. 

After escaping authorities for years, Potter was arrested on Monday at Ravenshoe, in Far North Queensland, inside a squalid house littered with animal cages and debris, where he had been living…
