Angel Lynn’s kidnappers could have their prison terms extended as part of a review by the Court of Appeal, it has today been announced.
Ms Lynn was left paralysed at 19 after plunging from a van that she had been bundled into in Rothley, Leicestershire, in September 2020.
Her boyfriend at the time Chay Bowskill, 20, grabbed her off the street and hauled her into the transit, which was being driven by accomplice Rocco Sansome.
In January this year, Bowskill and Sansome received jail terms of seven-and-a-half years and 21 months respectively for kidnapping Angel, now 20.
The paltry sentences sparked outrage from Ms Lynn’s mother, Nikki, who demanded their sentences be doubled – citing the seriousness of her daughter’s injuries.
