A luxury design studio has unveiled plans for a £220million megayacht that features its own private seaport for smaller boats.

The 328ft Saturnia is divided into five floors with an additional seating area, while a walkable deck area lifts up to reveal the internal dock reminiscent of a Venetian bridge.

The midship opening can be accessed on each side as the deck rises to allow the smaller vessels to enter, allowing boats with up to 5ft of draft to moor inside.

The concept was released by Lazzarini Design Studio who have previously announced ambitious concept yachts based on a swan, a shark and a crab.

Dreamed up by the Rome-based designers, the Saturnia will be made entirely from dry carbon fibre making it 50 per cent lighter than vessels of a similar size and will push its top speed to 30 knots.

It will be able to host up to 20 guests along with its 20 crew members, while small boats will be able to dock in the megayacht.

Glossy promotional images show glass-bottomed decks allowing passengers to see directly into the ocean from the seating area.

High ceilings and large windows maximise the viewing area for guests inside the megayacht while other features include multiple pools, alfresco dining areas and a landing pad.

Saturnia is fitted with twin-side diesel engines and a central electronic water jet system.

Lazzarini expect it to take up to three years to complete the ambitious design with building costs projected to be £220million.

The design company’s previous concepts include Avanguardia which is shaped like a swan and stretches more than the length of a football pitch.

The £376 million yacht features a sleek ‘neck’ and an elegant body in an attractive layered design, intended to resemble a swan’s wings and feathers.

But just like a swan can move its neck and head, the yacht’s control tower can be moved down towards the water.

The ‘head’ is even detachable and transforms into an auxiliary 50-foot boat.
