An elderly man has been bashed by a teenager for his cigarettes, as his helpless wife tried to protect him, video allegedly filmed by a 13 year-old girl shows.
Shocking footage showed a 67-year-old man lying on the ground and being repeatedly punched and kicked in Albion Park, south of Wollongong, by an 18-year-old.
Teenager Ebony Upton alerted police after being shown the video by the 13-year-old who allegedly filmed the attack.

The ‘gentleman’ was walking home from work with his wife when the teenagers attacked him, reported Nine.
Footage showed a boy punching and kicking the man who is lying on the ground, and one is heard saying ‘get his smokes, get his smokes in his pocket.’
The man’s wife tried to protect him, holding her arm and grocery bag over his body as he lies defenseless on the ground.
‘What are you going to do, huh?’ The boy yelled at the woman.

Two other teenagers watched on, including the girl who is alleged to be filming the incident.
Ms Upton reported the attack to police after being showed the video, and called it ‘disgusting’.
Two teenagers face attempted robbery and assault charges over the incident.
